In Vísindaport on May 15 at 12:10, Catherine Chambers, Director of the University Center, and Dan Govoni, avalanche risk specialist for the Met Office, will answer the question “what was it like to live in Japan”. Together with their 9 and 12 year old daughters, Cat and Dan lived in Kashiwanoha, Japan for 4 months starting last December.
The talk will be given in Icelandic and will cover both their professional work in Japan, but also personal experiences and funny stories related to the school system, food, culture, and how one comes to Japan with 2 suitcases and leaves with, well, many more.
