We open for applications on December 1, 2026. We have rolling admission and applications are reviewed as they are received.

Application deadlines for EU/EEA Applicants

February 15 - Priority Deadline

  • Applications submitted by this date have the best chance of admission.
  • We encourage early applications, as spots may fill up before the final deadline.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis 

April 15 - Second Admission Round Deadline

  • Apply by this date to ensure you have enough time to prepare for your move to Iceland.

June 5 - Domestic and EU/EEA Application Deadline

  • Last official deadline to submit applications for domestic and EU/EEA applicants.
  • Applicants outside Iceland can still apply, but might not have enough time to prepare their move to Iceland. Feel free to reach out to us for assistance if needed.

Application deadlines for Non-EU/EEA Applicants

February 15 – Priority Deadline

  • Applying by this date gives you the best chance of admission and enough time for immigration permit processing. 
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, meaning you can submit your application after February 15. 
  • NB.: The application for residence permit to the Directorate of Immigration is due May 1st. Please plan for sufficient time to gather all required documents.
