Lunch Lecture: Quality in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

As part of the Annual Meeting of the University Centre of the Westfjords, we warmly welcome everyone to an open public lecture by Vaka Óttarsdóttir, Director of Quality and Human Resources at the University of Akureyri.

Artificial intelligence is already having a profound impact on society, the labor market, and the education system. Institutions and employees are facing new challenges related to quality, trust, professionalism, and an ever-changing work environment.

The lecture will discuss developments in quality management in Iceland and abroad in the age of artificial intelligence, and how trust and a clear professional framework can be built during times of rapid change. It will also address the impact of these developments on human resources, workplace stress, and the importance of supporting staff in an environment where demands, pace, and expectations are changing quickly.

Soup and light refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome.

The lunch lecture will be held in icelandic

The presentation will take place in the cafeteria at the University Centre of the Westfjords and will start at 12:10.
