Course: Physical Processes of Coastal Environments

This course examines coastal and marine environments through an integrated lens of physical processes and management strategies. Emphasis is placed on understanding the dynamic interactions among hydrological and oceanographic systems, such as rivers, estuaries, tides, waves, currents, sediment transport, and erosion and deposition and their links to anthropogenic influences. The course also addresses current challenges including sea-level rise, climate change, and their implications for sustainable coastal management, focusing mostly on coastal protection.
