Act alone is an international acting festival that takes place in Ísafjörður. As the festival title suggests, it focuses on the monodrama, or one man's show. The Comedy theatre in Ísafjörður held the first festival in 2004 and it has been an annual event ever since. In recent years the University Centre has been an associate of the festival. Important parts of the festival are acting classes and seminars about the monodrama form. Icelandic and international actors, directors and lecturers have taken part in the festival through the years.
