Please note that participants need to reserve accommodation on their own. Participants are encouraged not to wait too long to book their accommodation as the summer months are usually busy.

You may search for other accommodation on your own, using the websites www.westfjords.is and www.vesturferdir.is. Please note, that if you book your accommodation outside of Þingeyri you are responsible for organizing your own transportation.

Við Fjörðinn is a guesthouse situated in the centre of Þingeyri. It has ten rooms and offers accommodation for groups, families and single persons. One room can accommodate up to four people. Access to fully equipped kitchen and bath is included. Við Fjörðinn also has two apartments. One of them is at ground level and especially designed for handicapped people. It has a big bedroom for up to three people, a living room with sofa, TV, cooking facilities and a bathroom with shower. The second flat is upstairs with private entrance, two bedrooms, a big kitchen and bathroom with shower. Just outside this house you can have a barbeque and enjoy the view of the magnificent Westfjords mountains.

Hotel Sandafell is a hotel situated in the centre of Þingeyri. It offers 8 rooms, incl. 2 family rooms. All the rooms are big and with a beautiful view. All rooms have TV, and guests have free access to wireless internet. During summertime the restaurant offers good food for tourists, at a fair price. Breakfast is served in the restaurant.

Hótel Núpur: 
Núpur is a former boarding school with lovely surroundings and a fine view over Dýrafjörður, a 20-minute drive from Þingeyri. Guests have access to kitchenettes with basic cooking-facilities, bathroom facilities, washing machine and dryer. There is also a restaurant/café and a small convenience store serving sandwiches and light meals during evenings and weekends. Please note that there is no public transport that runs all the way to Núpur, but there are buses that run between Þingeyri and Ísafjörður on weekdays, each trip is ISK 280. The schedule is very limited and the bus will take you to the turn-off, which is 7 km from Núpur. Transport from there is available at your request, ask at the hotel reception. It is participants' own responsibility to get back and forth from Núpur and Þingeyri every day.

Alviðra farm is in about 5 min´s walking distance from the Hótel Núpur. Accomodation is offered in a separate house.
