Would you like to host an American student?
The University Centre of the Westfjords is now seeking host families in the Ísafjörður area willing to host American undergraduate students September 14 – October 6.
These students are participating in a semester-long study abroad program: Iceland and Greenland: Climate Change and the Arctic, organized by the School for International Training (SIT) in Vermont in collaboration with the University Centre. Staying with a family is a way to give these students an opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of Icelanders and Icelandic culture. The UW has been in charge of coordinating homestays for SIT students coming to Iceland since 2012 and so far our experience has been very positive.
