On December 19 the Development Fund for Tourism awarded grants from the fund. Amongst the projects that received a grant this time was the Wildfjords Trail project which one of UWestfjords alumni, Henry Fletcher, has been working on. Henry Fletcher was in the group of students that first graduated from the Coastal and Marine Management master’s program in 2010 and has for the past year been working on this project in the Westfjords in cooperation with various organizations and companies in the area. In October he presented the project at the UWestfjords Lunch Lecture series to the public.

It is especially rewarding for the University Centre when students come back to the Westfjords to work on innovative projects such as this. It will be interesting to see how this project develops in the future.
