Two elective courses will now be offered during each three week module in the masters program in Coastal and Marine Management. Each student chooses one of the two courses offered during each three week module.

This week we welcome Einar Hreinsson, a specialist at the Marine Research Institution branch here in Ísafjörður and a teacher at the University of Akureyri. Einar, who will teach the course ‘Introduction to Marine Technology\', has been involved in the program from the beginning and has an office and research facility at the Marine Research Institution that is housed in the University Centre building.

We also welcome Dr. Selina Heppell and Dr. Scott Heppell who will teach the ‘Fisheries Management and Ecological Modeling\' course during the next three week module. They taught a similar course last year and Selina has also been an external reader for a masters project last January.
