Themes in the works of Jón Kalman

In this Fridays Lunch Lecture will Ingi Björn Guðnason discuss several themes in the works of the writer Jón Kalman Stefánsson. He will among other things speak about the role of writers in societys and intergration of fiction and reality.

Ingi Björn Guðnason is a literary scholar and has worked for the University Centre for the past five years. His masters thesis, Writing behind slopes, is about three of Jón Kalman books. In addition, he has written reviwes of Jón Kalman books along with making two radio programs about the three most recent books from the author.

Lunch Lecture is held at the University Centre cafeteria, it starts at 12:10 and everybody is welcome. The talk will be in Icelandic.
