The Art is in Our Hands
This Friday's Lunch Lecture this week will be given by four teachers from the elementary school in Bolungarvík that are participating in a European Comenius project entitled The Art is in Our Hands.
This project is especially designed for the youngest group of students. The goal of the project is to produce educational material about various painters and therefore create a teaching material database which can be used by the participating schools. The Icelandic painter Gunnella will be the main subject of the elementary school in Bolungarvík during the project. Participating schools come from all over Europe, from Spain, Greece, Turkey, Poland, Italy, England and Finland in addition to Iceland.
The talk begins at 12.10 and will be in Icelandic. As always the Lunch Lecture is open to all.
The teachers participating in the project are Auður Hanna Ragnarsdóttir, Elísabet Guðmundsdóttir, Elín Þóra Stefánsdóttir and Zofia Marciniak.
