Symposium on Icelandic Social Sciences, Ísafjörður, April 8 - 9

The 2011 Symposium on Icelandic Social Sciences will be held in Ísafjörður this year, organized by the University Centre of the Westfjords. It is an annual event and the first symposium was held in Akureyri in 2007.

Diverse studies focusing on the contemporary Icelandic society will be presented, and among the topics you find: Health and Society, Nation and Culture, Natural Resource Management, People with Disabilities, Senior Citizens, The Icelandic Constitution and the Information and Knowledge Society.

Call for papers: those who are interested in holding a lecture or presenting a poster, please send title and abstract (150 words) to albertina@uwestfjords.is no later than February 28, 2011.
