Symposium on Icelandic Social Sciences
The 2011 Symposium on Icelandic Social Sciences will be held in Ísafjörður April 8-9, organized by the University Centre of the Westfjords. This annual event was first held in Akureyri by the University of Akureyri in 2007, and has since been held at Bifröst University and Hólar University College.
Diverse studies focusing on the contemporary Icelandic society will be presented at the symposium. Among the topics you find: Health and Society, Nation and Culture, Natural Resource Management, People with Disabilities, Senior Citizens, The Icelandic Constitution and the Information and Knowledge Society.
