On Saturday a new radio show began on the National Public Radio RÚV called Stories from the countryside. The focus of this first show was on education in rural areas. The show visited the University Centre and made an interview with the director Peter Weiss. In the interview Peter Weiss discussed the various education offered by the University Centre, distance learning and the two masters programs offered there. Ástrún Jakobsdóttir, a student of Education Studies about her experience as a distance learning student at the University Centre.
