Seeking host families for American field school students

The University Centre of the Westfjords is now seeking host families in the Ísafjörður area willing to invite American university students  to stay in their homes for three weeks, beginning next month.

The students are participating in a field school organized by the School for International Training (SIT) in Vermont in cooperation with the University Centre. This is the fifth year  the Centre is a mediator for the housing of the SIT students coming to Iceland, mainly in the summertime. So far it has been successful and the students have returned to their home with a better knowledge of Icelanders and  their culture.

The students arrive for the home stay in the Ísafjörður area on February 20th and they leave March 13th

For further information on the project please go here or contact Pernilla Rein, project manager at the University Centre, tel. 820-7579 or pernilla@uw.is. Also there is a Facebook group for the project:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/SITfjolskyldurVetur2017/
