This week CMM student Johannes Stein and CRD program director Matthias Kokorsch will present their research at an international conference in Connecticut. The title of the conference is ‘Coastal Transitions: Blue Economy’ and is organized by our Blue Economy teacher Dr. Patrick Heidkamp.

Johannes and Matthias will present results about the Finnafjörður harbour project in Northeast Iceland: Matthias researches the impacts of such a project on community resilience while Johannes discusses local perceptions, hopes and concerns, based on a survey he conducted this summer for his master thesis. For those interested, it is still possible to sign up and follow the conference as observer for free.
