On Saturday January 16 the first students from the Preparatory Program for University Entrance graduated from the University Centre of the Westfjords and Reykjavík University.

 

Teaching in the Preparatory Program began in January 2008 in cooperation with Reykjavík University that provided the University Centre with its preparatory program. Twenty four students from all over the Westfjords enrolled in the program in the Westfjords, but all in all forty students in the Westfjords have taken some courses in the program. The University Centre has also taught all distance learning courses for students enrolled in the first year of the program at Reykjavík University.

 

On Saturday January 16 the first students, Finnbogi Bjarnason, Guðmundur Óskar Reynisson and Sigurbjörg Benediktsdóttir, graduated from the program with a Preparatory Program diploma at a graduation ceremony in Reykjavík University with a group of 25 students.

 

The University Centre is very proud of these representatives of the preparatory program group that has most certainly left its mark on the Centre. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
