One Week Crash Course About to End

Since Monday, May 18, a small and enthusiastic group of students have taken part in the one week long Crash Course in Icelandic at the University Centre. The students come from Great Britain, Germany and the US, although two of the students are actually living in the village of Þingeyri in Ísafjörður Municipality for the summer.

The course marks the beginning of this year’s Icelandic Courses at the University Centre. As the past few years the University Centre is also offering a variety of Icelandic Courses in August that will be held both in Ísafjörður and in Núpur in Dýrafjörður. In August we will offer three-week Beginners Courses, a two week Intermediate course, three one week long Advanced Special courses where each course has an emphasis is on certain language skills and finally a one week Crash Course for beginners.

We are still open for applications for the courses in August where everyone interested in learning Icelandic should find something that suits their needs. Further information on the courses in August is available on the Icelandic Courses webpage.
