One-Week intensive Icelandic Course

Last week seven students attended the one-week Crash Course in Icelandic language offered at the University Centre.

The seven students attending this year are from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Three of them are living in Iceland but the others have travelled specifically to Iceland and all the way to Ísafjörður to attend the course. Their instructor was Ólafur Guðsteinn Kristjánsson - an experienced language teacher who enjoys sharing the beauty of the Icelandic language with his students.

With grammar-exercises, conversations, movie-nights, Icelandic folk songs, and even first aid lessons the students learned a great deal in just five days. They received their certificate over some Icelandic waffles and dried fish.

The One Week Crash Course is next on offer in August from 15th to 20th. There are still spots available on the one-week course as well as on the other courses offered this summer and all information can be found on the course website.
