Ocean acidification in Lunch Lecture
Hrönn Egilsdóttir, PhD student at the University of Iceland and the Marine Research Institute of Iceland, will give a talk on ocean acidification this Friday, 14.09.2012 during the lunch lecture.
Due to constant ocean uptake of the creenhouse gas CO2 the ocean is acidificating worldwide. In her PhD project, Hrönn conducts research aimed at examining ocean acidification around Iceland and the potential effects of these changes on the biosphere in the ocean waters.
Hrönn Egilsdóttir is a PhD student at the University of Iceland and the Marine Research Institute of Iceland. She is also a lecturer here at the University Centre, in the Coastal and Marine Management program. Hrönn received a BS degree in biology from the University of Iceland in 2007 and a master's degree in marine biology from the University of Plymouth in 2008.
We welcome everyone to the Lunch Lecture, which starts at 12:10 in the University Centre's cafeteria. The talk will be in English.
