New UW Library Facilities

On Friday, November 13, the University Centre of the Westfjords formally opened new facilities for its university library. Having a special location for the library has been on the agenda for a while now and both students and staff are happy about the result. The library is probably the smallest university library in Iceland and understandably the location of it is therefore not very big. However the library is very specialized and many of its material is not available at any other library in Iceland. The specialization is mostly due to books and other material that has to do whit the Master’s Program in Coastal and Marine Management.

All material in the library is registered in the Consortium of Icelandic Libraries Gegnir.is where information about the material is available. Guests are also welcome to visit the library and browse through its material that way. For further information about the library please visit it’s webpage.
