New Teaching Module Coastal and Marine Ecology
Today a new teaching module began in the Coastal and Marine Management masters program with a course titled Coastal and Marine Ecology. The course is six ECTS credits and is one of the programs mandatory core courses.
Its supervisor and principal teacher is the environmental scientist Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson, who has taught this course the past two years. Other teachers on the course are the biologist Ólafur Patrick Ólafsson and Hrönn Egilsdóttir, a PhD candidate at the University of Iceland and the Marine Research Institute of Iceland. Hrönn also taught the course Understanding the Coast and the Ocean last month.
Last week another mandatory core course ICZM: Introduction and Theory came to an end. This course was taught by the Canadian specialist Jamie Alley who also taught the course last year.
