New Course Begins
Today a new three-week course in the Coastal and Marine Management master´s program began. The course is entitled Economics of Coastal and Marine Environments and it provides a theoretical framework and methodological tools for understanding the relationship between human economy and the natural world, focusing on coastal and marine areas.
The course instructor is Dr. Gabriela Sabau from the Sir Wilfred Grenfell Collage, the western campus of Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada. This is the third year that Dr. Sabau teaches this course in the CMM master´s program. It is extremely important for the University Centre to get highly qualified instructors such as Dr. Sabau to return to Ísafjörður since this ensures teaching continuity.
