Marine Technology and Maritime Transport
On Monday, March 4, two elective courses began in the Coastal and Marine Management master's program. The courses are titled Fishing Technology and Maritime Transport.
The Fishing Technology course is taught by Einar Hreinsson, a specialist at the Marine Research Instituted branch in Ísafjörður. Einar has taught the course from the very beginning of the master's program. The Maritime Transport course is taught by a new member of our instructors group, Dr. Anthony Chin an Associate Professor of Transport Economics at the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore. Thankfully Dr. Chin was already in Ísafjörður on Saturday, before the blizzard hit us. We would like to welcome Dr. Chin to our group of instructors and we hope that he will enjoy his stay in Ísafjörður despite the bad weather.
