Earlier this week the Iceland Ocean Cluster issued a report on marine related studies offered in Iceland. The report gives an account of both of the masters programs offered at the University Centre, Coastal and Marine Management and Marine Innovation. The report shows a pleasant 12% incensement of students studying in Marine related fields at different levels and institutions in Iceland. Looking at the statistics of the report it is clear that the students at the University Center make up a significant share of the total number of students in marine related programs each year.

The report shows an increased interest amongst students in studies related to marine issues as well as the growing demand in the marine economy for well educated people in different fields that have to do with marine issues.
