Lunch Lecture: Who becomes a mayor in Iceland?
In this week's Lunch Lecture, Friday March 16, Kristín Ósk Jónasdóttir will present the findings of her master´s thesis. Kristín graduated in 2011 from Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Iceland.
Kristín's master's thesis was based on a demographic study of Icelandic mayors employed at the country's municipalities between 1986 and 2011. Information was gathered about the mayors' education, gender, length of service, residence before their selection and whether they participated in local politics.
Kristín Ósk Jónasdóttir previous degrees are a B.ed in 1997, and a Diploma in School Counselling in 2004.
