Lunch Lecture: Underwater heritage in Iceland
In this week lunch lecture, Dr. Ragnar Edvaldsson will talk about underwater heritage in Iceland and research on them.
Underwater archaeology has been relatively little racticed in Iceland for the last decades. But now there are two research going on and it´s likely that they will be more of them in coming years. These studies have shown that underwater archaeological research in Iceland are well achievable and may enhance our understanding of the past.
Dr. Ragnar Edvardsson is an archaeologist who is specialized in coastal and marine heritage. He completed his Ph.D in 2010 and has for the last 23 years done research on al aspects of archeology . Ragnar joined the Research Centre of the University in the Northwest in 2011.
