Lunch Lecture: Orientation Meetings on a new and innovative study porgramme
Marine Innvoation, the new master programme at the Unviersity Centre, is not a standard-programme and thus specially much reason for an orientation. The programme is individually tailored with a study-plan for every single student, according to background and innovative project.
UWestfjords' and Innovation Iceland's staff will present the programme on Friday, 20.09.2013, in Vísindaport Lunch Lecture. Halldór Halldórsson, head of UWestfjords board of directors and former mayor of Ísaförður, who recently took an MBA from University of Iceland, will explain the pros and cons of the Westfjords innovation-programme compared to the programme he took.
People in the Westfjords, who want to step out and take a masters should have a look on that programme, if they have a sense for innovative projects at all. Those who want to further their ideas, but also those who want to learn how to manage projects and complicated processes can here find a programme that fits them.
Companies, who want to develop marine projects, was it in production or marketing, should know of this programme and are welcome to let know of their projects, in case they need a student to work on it.
The University Centre, in cooperation with Innovation Iceland and Unversity of Akureyri, encourage to think marine innovation in the bradest way. Innovation does not only take place in production, but also in optimisation processes on all levels, as well as marketing. The fastest growing branches in modern societies are services. Here is a huge potential of innovation, we often are not aware of.
