In this week´s Lunch Lecture, will Jón Karl Helgason talk about Icelandic Cultural Saints. He will compare the position and role of Jon Sigurdsson and Jonas Hallgrimsson as cultural saints and shed light on how their image has been reconstructed on stamps, coins and copper plates.

Jón Karl is a professor at the University of Iceland – Faculty of Icelandic and Comparative Cultural Studies.
