Consumer Behaviour with focus on eco-labeling
In the context of the visit of Erasmus exchange teacher Rob Warmenhoven from vanHall-Larenstein University in the Netherlands, the University Centre offers a lecture on consumer behaviour, with a focus on the influence of eco-labeled products and small/micro-entreprises. Outgoing from the question what are the current trends in Europe, what can we expect the coming years and how will this influence consumer behavior, the lecture will analyse, how companies can react. A first step towards that is more insight in this behaviour and the first step towards more insight might be this lecture.
Rob Warmenhoven is lecturer at vanHall-Larenstein University in Wageningen, The Netherlands. He teaches amongst others courses on principles of marketing, consumer behavior and export management to undergraduate students.
Students at vanHall-Larenstein come from all over the world and the main language spoken in the university is English. The University Centre of the Westfjords has been in Erasmus-contact with vanHall-Larenstein and has annually attracted some of their students for attending single courses.
The lecture is free of charge, as the lecturer comes on the Erasmus-programme for teacher exchange.

Lunch Lecture: European Culture
Visiting Erasmus-exchange teacher Rob Warmenhoven will give an introduction to European Culture and discuss what is Europe, what is European identity, where does Europe end and how can we deal with other European Cultures. As the topic is wide, Rob Warmenhoven will found it theoretically on the cultural dimensions theory of Geert Hofstede, influencial researcher on organisational culture and cultural economics and, according to his own web site, the founder of comparative intercultural research (http://geert-hofstede.com/geert-hofstede.html).
