Largest Group of Icelandic Students

Students were quick to settle in at Núpur on the first evening.
Students were quick to settle in at Núpur on the first evening.
Most of the students, or 83, stay at Hótel Núpur. These students are all Erasmus or Nordplus grantees who will attend different Universities in Iceland as exchange students this coming winter. Another group of students stay in Ísafjörður, 11 of which are doing an advanced course in Icelandic and a group 18 students attending a beginner's course.

It is likely that the people of Ísafjörður and vicinity will notice this large group of students during the coming weeks since their studies is not only confined to the classroom. Some elective courses demand participation in daily life in Ísafjörður so the University Centre sincerely hopes that the people of Ísafjörður will help students as much as possible by talking Icelandic to them.
