Invited West - feast from the nature of the Westfjords

In this weeks Lunch Lecture will Guðlaug Jónsdóttir and Karl Kristján Ásgeirsson present their new book, Boðið vestur - Veisluföng úr náttúru Vestfjarða.

Boðið vestur is basically a cookbook, but also so much more than that. The book, divided into sections by months, contains a large number of recipies for various dishes from the Westfjords, where they use the natural ingredients available and are traditionally every season.

They are going to talk about the creation of the book from concept to publication. They will show some pictures and read short passages from the book. The book will be available in Icelandic, English and German.

Guðlaug Jónsdóttir and Karl Krisján Ásgerisson are both chefs. In addition Guðlaug has a B.Ed degree from the University of Iceland and Karl has a BS degree in business from the University of Akureyri.

Lunch Lecture is open to all, starts at 12:10 in the cafeteria of the University Centre. The talk will be in Icelandic.
