The University Centre of the Westfjords and the School of Science and Engineering at Reykjavík University will offer Westfjords residents the opportunity to take their first year of engineering studies at the University Centre.

The studies will be conducted by distance learning so students will communicate with their instructors through the Internet and access lectures and teaching material through there. In addition the student group at the University Centre will have access to a special tutor at the University Centre. The tutor and students will also take trips to Reykjavík twice per semester for vocational studies.
