Fab Lab
In this weeks Lunch Lecture, February 22, will Albertína Friðbjörg Elíasdóttir a project manager at Innovation Center Iceland introduce the ideas regarding the Fab Lab stations.
Fab Lab (Fabrication Laoratory) is a digital workshop with tools and utilities to create almost anything. This way people and small businesses are given the opportunity to train creativity and implement their ideas to practice by designing, developing and producing things with the help of digital technology. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge of character based production, digital production metholds in industry and to promote innovation in Iceland.
Albertína Friðbjörg Elíasdóttir is a project manager at Innovation Center Iceland and also at the University Centre of the Westfjords. She finished a BA degree in Sociology from the University of Iceland in 2005 and a MA degree in Geography from the same school in 2012.
The Lunch Lecture is held in the University Centre and is open for public. It starts at 12:10 and the talk will be in Icelandic.
