Commercial use of the Arctic Shipping Route
The talk in this Friday‘s Lunch Lecture will be given by Dr. Miaoija Liu, and is titled "Commercial use of the Arctic Shipping Route."
Dr. Miaoija Liu teaches the elective course Maritime Transport and has extensive knowledge and experience in the field. She obtained her doctoral degree from Kobe University (Japan) in 2006 and her PhD study focused on "The competitive Situations in Container Transport Market". Previously Dr. Liu has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Maritime Economics and Logistics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Recently she was hired as a Chief Education Officer at BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council) where she will start working in May 2011.
