Coastal and Marine area in Iran

In this weeks Lunch Lecture, October 31, we are going to leave frosty Ísafjörður and get to know the Coastline and Marine area of Iran, Majid Eskafi, oceanographer from Iran and student in Coastal and Marine Management here at the University Centre is going to introduce us to his country and especially to the coastline by  the Caspian Sea.

The Caspian Sea is the largest enclosed inland body of water on Earth,  categorized either as the worlds largest lake or a fulled-fledged sea.  1000 km of the coasline belongs to Iran. In the lecture we will learn about the challenges confronting the coastal areas.

Lunch Lecture is open for the public and starts at 12:10 in the University Centre cafeteria. The talk will be in English.
