CMM Students and Instructors Appear on TV-Show

Last weekend the news show Landinn, on the Public Radio TV channel RÚV, aired a piece on plastic pollution in the oceans. The show followed a group of volunteers to the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve on a trip to clean up the beaches there last spring. A large group of our Coastal and Marine Management students took part in the beach clean-up and one of them, Natalie Chaylt, is interviewed on the show. The show also interviewed a couple of scientists that have taught at the CMM program, dr. Hrönn Ólina Jörundsdóttir an environmental chemist at Matís and dr. Halldór Pálmar Halldórsson, director of the University of Iceland Research Centre in Suðurnes.

The news piece is available on the website of RÚV.
