CMM Student at an Exchange Program in Greenland

Alexander Stubbing from Canada is one of the students studying in the Coastal and Marine Management masters program. At present he is doing an exchange program through the Danish Technical University (DTU) which has an Arctic Technology Centre (ARTEK).

The exchange is located in Sisimiut, Greenland and entitled "The Arctic Technology Semester". It covers three topics: Renewable Energy, the Arctic Environment, and Building/Construction in Greenland. Each topic is one month long, and Alexander will be in Greenland for the whole three month period.

His focus for all assignments during the exchange will be on natural resource management and coastal and marine management.

Recently Alexander gave a presentation at a conference entitled "Arctic Energy Supply - Which way will Greenland choose". His presentation was on the status of energy in Greenland.

We look forward to welcoming Alexander back from Greenland when he returns later this spring. It will undoubtedly be interesting to learn more about his adventures and studies in our neighbouring country to the west.
