Application Deadline Extended in light of COVID-19

In light of COVID-19, the University Centre of the Westfjords has decided to extend the application deadline for both masters programs- Coastal and Marine Management and Coastal Communities and Regional Development.

The normal application deadline for citizens from countries outside the EU/EEA is February 15. This deadline has now been extended until April 15, which is the EU/EEA citizen deadline. A second deadline for EU/EEA citizens is June 5.

Please note that the reason for the earlier application deadline of February 15 is the fact that non-EU/EEA citizens need to gather multiple documentations for their student residence permits. This process can be time-consuming and therefore we urge applicants to begin working on their residence permits as soon as possible. Applicants should start working on their residence permit application while gathering documents for their program application and NOT wait until receiving our acceptance letter. If you follow this process you should have enough time to gather the necessary documents for the residence permit.
