A Well of Knowledge on the Website

A number of locals in the Westfjords, within companies, government agencies, and the general public have assisted students with gathering data via interviews and more informal suggestions. This sort of cooperation is invaluable for students who sometimes need to overcome language barriers and a lack of fundamental data in certain fields. The work, done by students, is a step towards filling up a fundamental knowledge gap in a rural area such as the Westfjords, especially when it comes to coastal and marine management.

The work of future students will further this work even more and will no doubt prove to be an invaluable resource for the Westfjords. The University Centre encourages the public and other stakeholders to follow this work in the future as well as looking into the work that has already been done.
