Research Manager at the Offshore Energy Research Association of Nova Scotia (OERA)

Rodrigo Menafra is a Research Manager at the Offshore Energy Research Association of Nova Scotia (OERA) and is responsible for developing relationships within research, academic and energy sectors, as well as for project management and support to new research initiatives. Rodrigo has over 16 years of experience in coastal and marine management, having participated in numerous multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder research projects and activities in Uruguay, Iceland and Canada. Rodrigo’s research project management experience includes a broad range of skills in communications, knowledge mobilization and building of collaborative partnerships. He holds a Master’s in Marine Management from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Ecology from Florida Institute of Technology. Rodrigo is from Uruguay, but has made Nova Scotia his home since 2008. He lives in Halifax with his wife and two young sons, often escaping to their family cottage on the beautiful Bras d’Or Lake in Cape Breton.
