Beginners A1-A2

The University Centre's summer school is an intensive three week course in Icelandic language and culture. It is especially designed to meet the needs of people who want to learn as much Icelandic as possible in a short amount of time while experiencing life in a small Icelandic town. Originally the course was designed as an Erasmus Intensive Language course for university exchange students coming to Iceland for one or two semesters but is also ideal for anyone who wants to learn the language.

This is an exciting summer course, in the magnificent surroundings of the remote Westfjords, and will increase students' skills in Icelandic.

Course dates: August 5 to August 23 2019.

The University Centre of the Westfjords has several years of experience in hosting field schools for foreign students and offering courses in Icelandic language and culture. Also, the University Centre offers two international, cross disciplinary master's programs: Coastal and marine management and Coastal Communities and Regional Development.
