Gisting Áslaugar/Áslaug's Accommodation
We have reserved some rooms for students at Gistihús Áslaug in central Ísafjörður. These are single and double rooms with basic cooking facilities and wash basins. Restaurants, a supermarket and the University Centre are within a five minute walk.

Hótel Núpur
Núpur is a former boarding school with lovely surroundings and a fine view over Dýrafjörður, a 25-minute drive from Ísafjörður. Guests have access to kitchenettes with basic cooking-facilities, bathroom facilities, washing machine and dryer. There is also a restaurant/café and a small convenient store serving sandwiches and light meals during evenings and weekends. The nearest supermarket is in Ísafjörður, 37 km. There is no public transport that runs all the way to Núpur, but there are buses that run on weekdays, each trip is ISK 280. Please note that the schedule is very limited and that the bus will take you to the turn-off, which is 7 km from Núpur. Transport from there is available at your request, ask at the hotel reception.

Getting to/from Ísafjörður/Ísafjörður airport: There is no flybus running to/from Núpur, but this service will be provided at your request, price ISK 1000 one-way. Price per person.
SUV-safari to Ingjaldssandur: At request, min. 5 participants. Ingjaldssandur is a beautiful, remote and isolated valley, today it is inhabited by one farmer and her school-age son.
Horse-riding at Þingeyri and kayaking at Flateyri: if you are interested in going horse-back riding or kayaking, ask at the lobby for assistance. Rides to and from Þingeyri will be provided at a price of ISK 1.000 per person, roundtrip.
