Deadline for EEA/EU citizens and Icelandic applicants

April 15

June 5 (second deadline, applications received before the first deadline have priority)

Information for UK citizens

During the application period spring 2021, the University Centre of the Westfjords treats citizens of the United Kingdom as citizens of the European Economic Area. However, we urge UK citizens to apply as early as possible in order to have time to fulfill the immigration requirements for student residence permit. See further information on the website of the Directorate of Immigration.

If you have further questions about the master’s program in Coastal Communities and Regional Development please send an email to

You can access the online application form here.

*Please note that the reason for the earlier application deadline of February 15 is the fact that non-EU/EEA citizens need to gather multiple documentations for their student residence permits. This process can be time-consuming. Applications received after the deadline will be considered based on the program capacity, quality of the application and the likelihood of submitting all the appropriate documentation.
