The 2012 Symposium on Icelandic Social Sciences will be held in Akureyri April 20-21. It is an annual event and the first symposium was held in Akureyri in 2007.

Diverse studies focusing on the contemporary Icelandic society will be presented, and among the topics you find: Health and health services, politics and administration, crimes in society, families in Iceland, universities and regional development, culture and society and social effects of transport.

 

Call for papers: those who are interested in holding a lecture or presenting a poster, please send title and abstract (150 words) to ha.radstefna2012@gmail.com no later than March 1st, 2012.
