The research fund Rannsóknar og nýsköpunarsjóður Vestur-Barðastrandar calls for applications. The application deadline is July 31 and the results will be announced at the end of September. This year the funds emphasis is on the following:

• Aquaculture
• Processing of raw material from local natural resources
• Cultivation and catching of shellfish
• Tourism (marketing, environmental and development projects)
