Master student receives research grant from the Westfjords Business Development Agency

Last week Atvest (The Westfjords Business Development Agency) announced that Bjarni M. Jónsson, a student in the Master´s program in Coastal and Marine Management, had received a grant for investigating ocean currents as an energy harvesting opportunity. Bjarni has already come to an agreement with Dr. Þorsteinn Ingi Sigfússon to be his supervisor for this project. Dr. Thorsteinn is a Professor of physics at the Science Institute of the University of Iceland and the Director General of Iceland's Center of Innovation.
The staff and students of the University Centre congratulate Bjarni and wish him all the best with the challenging and ambitious work ahead.
